We are searching for the best talent for a Director, Transcend Business Lead Americas to join our J&J Vision team. This duration position is for 2 years, based in Jacksonville, FL. Other J&J locations or remote opportunities may be considered for strong internal talent, on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.
Purpose:
As the Director, Transcend Business Lead Americas, you will be the senior business leader accountable for successfully delivering the Transcend transformation across the Americas for Vision Care and Surgical Vision which will occur between 2027 and 2029 with various go live dates. The role ensures that Transcend is delivered as a business transformation, not simply an S/4HANA implementation. The role is accountable for driving adoption of the Global Template, mobilizing the regional business, managing business and organizational change, ensuring operational readiness, and realizing the strategic and financial benefits of the transformation. Working closely with the Transcend Business Lead, other Regional Business Leads, Value Stream Leads (VSLs), SMEs, functional leaders, markets, and deployment teams, the role provides the critical connection between the global Transcend program and regional business execution.
This position will report to the Sr. Directors, Commercial Operations for Vision Care and Surgical Vision and will collaborate closely with all cross-functional partners and the project team.
You will be responsible for:
- Regional Transformation Leadership: Own the regional Transcend agenda, turning global strategy into a deployment and adoption plan focused on business outcomes.
- Global Template Adoption: Champion the Global Template as the standard way of working. Push back on unnecessary localization and send genuine needs through governance.
- Business Readiness & Deployment: Make sure the business is ready, equipped and committed, from data, training and cutover through hyper care and operate-state transition.
- Change Impact & Risk Management: Make sure major change impacts have owners and are mitigated before deployment. Escalate significant adoption, capacity or continuity risks.
- Stakeholder & Executive Leadership: Build visible senior sponsorship, resolve resistance, give concise executive reporting and serve as the senior regional escalation point.
- Resource Leadership: Define and prioritize regional resources so VSLs, SMEs and Data SMEs are committed when needed, while protecting business continuity.
- Solution Confirmation & Decisions: Lead Solution Confirmation engagement. Drive timely decisions that fit the Global Template, and escalate those affecting scope, value, timeline or cost.
- Benefits & Value Realization: Own the regional business case, set benefit baselines and measures, and partner with Finance to track value.
- Governance & Escalation: Set up regional governance aligned to global Transcend, with clear decision rights and escalation paths that surface risks early.
- Cross-Regional Alignment: Partner with the Transcend Business Lead and other regions to share lessons, prevent unintended global consequences and support a "one Transcend" mindset.
