We’re looking for a Training Specialist who will make a difference to our customers through superior training development and delivery.


The ideal candidate will have disability case management experience with a focus on health recovery, support and return to work. You’ll also possess a strong background in training delivery with experience in program design and development. You’ll be joining a dispersed national team of dedicated disability management trainers. This role reports directly to the Associate Manager of Training and Development on the National Best Practices team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, analyze, develop, deliver and support learning centric training programs to multiple audiences, in multiple locations/time zones
  • Create/maintain training curriculum and materials
  • Develop/support development of on-line recorded and eLearning modules
  • Identify development opportunities and training gaps through formal needs analysis and measurement and evaluation strategies
  • Provide feedback to learners and leaders
  • Track and report training data
  • A subject matter expert in adult learning theories and practices
  • Participate in team/department project work
  • Assist with coaching and RTIW duties as needed
  • Identify training risks and collaborates to initiate risk mitigation process
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate training success through multiple levels of training evaluations
  • Facilitate learning through various strategies and methods
  • Research and implement leading-edge training and development practices
  • Document processes and procedures on Manusource

Qualifications:

  • Disability Case Management experience across all benefits lines an asset, STD or LTD is required.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.​

  • Well-developed knowledge of the disability industry
  • Analytical, research, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge in Adult Learning theories and practices

Salary range is expected to be between

$59,100.00 CAD - $98,500.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
