- The Disbursements Specialist is responsible for high volume processing of consignment for Canadian and other markets. The primary mandate for the Disbursements Specialist is to ensure all consignments are paid on time and that appropriate remittance process and systems are adhered to.
Prepare settlement statements in accordance with RB Global policies and compliance controls.
Process payments for consignors, advances, inventory purchases, and post-sale reconciliations.
Ensure banking information and financial accounts are set up accurately and securely.
Collaborate with legal and operations teams to resolve any discrepancies or contractual issues.
Maintain financial records and manage key accounts such as auction proceeds, holdbacks, and repairs.
Ensure transactions comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and internal policy requirements.
Contribute to the quality assurance and KPI reporting process for the Seller Services team.
Provide support for special projects and other financial administrative tasks as required.
1–3 years’ experience in a financial, accounting, legal, or banking environment.
Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Working Environment
Office-based role in Yatala, working closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams. There may be an opportunity following probation to work in a hybrid work model, with 1 or 2 days from home.
