Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence.
Each year, 40,000 people in the U.S. die from gun violence. We can change that. No organization has a more comprehensive and systematic approach to ending America’s gun violence epidemic. They say it can't be done. But we know Americans can do anything. Even end this epidemic of gun violence. For we are more powerful than any problem when we work as one. Now is the time to unite people, from coast to coast, young and old, liberal and conservative, fed up and fired up, and free our country from what is killing us. It's in our hands.
Job Summary:
Brady has an exciting opening for a Donor Relations and Administrative Associate. This individual works closely with the Senior Giving Manager and the Senior Director of Development to fill a critical role in processing all donations and serving as the main point of contact for donor inquiries, growing and engaging Brady’s base of support while working across revenue channels with every member of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Brady’s development team is at an exciting inflection point as we grow our revenue to combat the epidemic of gun violence, and the Donor Relations and Administrative Associate will play a critical role in enabling that growth. This person will process all gifts that the organization receives and serve as the primary point of contact for all donor inquiries. The Donor Relations and Administrative Associate will also ensure all gifts are properly tracked in our database and will help support the entire team with prospect research, meeting prep, event support, and other assigned tasks. The main functions of this role will include:

Provide outreach to lapsed sustaining donors to renew their support
Administrative (70%)
Manage twice-weekly in-house gift processing, including all checks, EFTs, and gifts of stock, and entering gifts received into the database.
Work closely with the Database Manager to update and maintain the database and contact records, ensuring good data hygiene.
Process weekly gift acknowledgment letters
Manage the review process for all department invoices
Assist with donor stewardship activities and support data entry needs in our database
Other (20%)
Assist with donor stewardship activities including handwritten notes, thank you calls, and mailings to support channel leads as they seek to grow and expand the donor pipeline
Support database data entry needs
With Major Gift Officer support, work on planned giving projects and gift resolution
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with some relevant experience (internship and volunteer experiences applicable) of working within a nonprofit, preferably on a development team.
Strong research and writing skills, including the ability to write persuasively, objectively, and creatively as needed
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to manage projects, including time management and quick problem-solving while maintaining a positive attitude
Experience and comfort with public speaking preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where change is constant
Ability to use discretion and sensitivity in handling highly confidential donor information and proprietary data
Deep understanding of how systemic racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism play a role in fueling inequities in America, including our country's gun violence epidemic, with an appreciation for how advocacy groups in these arenas can convene and support one another to end gun violence
