Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms in Sofia, ensuring strict adherence to community guidelines and platform policies. Identify, investigate, and escalate harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content, including misinformation, hate speech, graphic material, and fraudulent activity targeting Sofia-speaking audiences. Analyse patterns of suspicious behaviour, coordinated inauthentic activity, and potential threats to platform integrity within the social media environment. Make accurate, consistent, and well-reasoned decisions regarding content removal, account suspension, and user safety interventions in line with established trust and safety frameworks. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including policy, legal, and engineering departments to refine content moderation guidelines and improve safety protocols. Document and report recurring trends, emerging risks, and systemic issues to support continuous improvement of trust and safety operations across social media channels. Provide timely feedback and recommendations to improve the quality and consistency of content review processes for Dutch-language markets. Maintain a high standard of mental resilience and professional judgement when handling sensitive, distressing, or complex content as part of daily social media moderation duties. Native or fluent Dutch language proficiency (both spoken and written) is essential for this role. Valid EU passport is mandatory. Strong working knowledge of English for internal communication, reporting, and collaboration within an international team environment. Prior experience in trust and safety, content moderation, digital policy enforcement, or a related field within the social media or technology industry is highly advantageous. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to apply nuanced judgement to complex and sensitive content scenarios. A high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in relation to Dutch-speaking markets, social media trends, and online community dynamics. Strong emotional resilience and the ability to manage exposure to potentially distressing content in a professional and structured manner.
