Rowen & Wren

E-Commerce Executive

Reporting to: E-Commerce Manager

Role Overview

At Rowen & Wren, we believe the best ecommerce experiences bring together thoughtful brand storytelling, effortless customer journeys and strong commercial performance.

Our website is currently our only direct sales channel and is therefore central to how customers discover, experience and buy from the brand. We are looking for an E-Commerce Executive to help us ensure the website is always performing at its best, from how products are presented and discovered through to the overall customer journey and experience.

Working closely with the E-Commerce Manager and teams across the business, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running and continual improvement of the website, using a combination of attention to detail, commercial awareness and data to identify opportunities and deliver improvements.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our growing ecommerce function, with the opportunity to develop across Shopify, merchandising, SEO, analytics, customer experience and website optimisation.

What You'll Do

Product & Website Management:

  • Manage the day-to-day setup and maintenance of products, collections and content within Shopify.
  • Support new product and collection launches, ensuring everything is accurate and ready to go live.
  • Coordinate product information and assets with Merchandising, Creative, Operations and other teams.
  • Carry out website checks and QA to identify errors, broken links or incorrect information.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Shopify 2.0 functionality.

E-Commerce Merchandising:

  • Support day-to-day website merchandising, including collections, product ordering, navigation and product presentation.
  • Use ecommerce data to understand product and category performance and identify opportunities.
  • Work closely with the E-Commerce Manager and Merchandising team to implement changes and improvements.
  • Ensure products are presented consistently and effectively across the website.

Content, SEO & Customer Experience:

  • Work closely with Creative to implement homepage, campaign and other website content updates.
  • Help ensure website content remains accurate, up to date and aligned with the brand.
  • Support ongoing SEO activity across products, collections, content and website structure.
  • Help optimise page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and other on-page SEO elements.
  • Monitor organic search performance and identify opportunities to improve visibility and traffic.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product discovery, navigation and the overall customer journey.
  • Support CRO, UX and wider website optimisation activity.

Insight & Performance:

  • Produce regular ecommerce reports and analysis using Shopify, GA4 and other relevant systems.
  • Analyse product, category and website performance, including sales, conversion and customer behaviour.
  • Monitor SEO and organic search performance where relevant.
  • Identify trends, issues and opportunities and communicate these to the E-Commerce Manager.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting for ecommerce and merchandising.

Projects & Process Improvement:

  • Support ecommerce projects and website developments, including testing and implementation.
  • Take ownership of smaller ecommerce tasks and projects through to completion.
  • Work with Creative, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations and external developers where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ecommerce processes and reduce manual work.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in ecommerce, digital, merchandising, online retail or a similar environment.
  • Experience working with a website or ecommerce platform.
  • A technical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with data and spreadsheets.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work across different teams.
  • An interest in Shopify, websites, SEO and customer experience.
  • Experience with Shopify, GA4, SEO, Analytics tools, Matrixify or basic HTML/CSS would be beneficial, but a willingness to learn is just as important.

Personal Attributes:

  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy ecommerce environment.
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in how the website contributes to sales and customer experience.
  • Analytical and curious, with an instinct to investigate issues, understand performance and identify opportunities.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Naturally collaborative and able to work effectively with creative, commercial and technical specialists.
  • A confident communicator who can work across different teams and keep tasks moving.
  • Genuinely interested in ecommerce, websites, customers and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters

As Rowen & Wren grows, the website is becoming increasingly important as both a customer experience and commercial channel.

This role will help ensure that products, content and campaigns are delivered accurately and on time, while supporting the E-Commerce Manager in continually improving the website, organic performance and customer experience.

It is an opportunity to build strong knowledge of Shopify and the wider ecommerce ecosystem, taking increasing ownership of e-commerce activity and developing across merchandising, data, SEO, customer experience and website optimisation.

Benefits

Alongside a competitive salary and company-wide bonus scheme, we offer a thoughtful and collaborative working environment, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, staff discount, private healthcare and daily meals prepared by our in-house chef.
