The Role
We're looking for a project manager with a designer's eye and real e-commerce experience to
run our client's website and our sales channels. You'll own the roadmap for the site: figure out what
should change and why, scope it clearly, direct our web developer, and make sure every project
ships on time, works well and looks right.
The ideal person moves easily between three hats: project manager (planning, prioritizing,
keeping work moving), UX lead (understanding how shoppers use the site and making it better),
and hands-on e-commerce operator (getting things done in Shopify and our channels). You'll
report to the COO.
This is a fully remote, full-time position working 10AM–6PM Eastern.
What You'll Do
Project management
● Own the site and channel roadmap: gather requests from the team, prioritize them, and
keep a clear backlog
● Turn ideas into clear briefs with goals, requirements, references or wireframes, and a
definition of done
● Manage our web developer day to day: assign work, review it, give feedback, and keep
projects on schedule
● Carry out the COO's priorities and give regular updates on what's shipping, what's
blocked and what's next
● Coordinate launches across the site, email/SMS, marketplaces and customer support so
nothing goes live half-finished
● Track work in our project management tool and write SOPs for recurring tasks so
knowledge doesn't live in one person's head
UX & site experience
● Audit the storefront regularly and recommend improvements to navigation, collection and
product pages, cart and checkout
● Use analytics (Shopify Analytics, Triple Whale, GA4) plus heatmaps and session
recordings (Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar) to find where shoppers get stuck
● Run competitor and best-in-class site comparisons and bring back what's worth
borrowing (and what to avoid)
● Propose, plan and run A/B tests, then report results and recommend next steps
● Sketch wireframes and simple mockups to show the developer exactly what you mean
● QA every change on mobile and desktop before it goes live
Design & brand
● Keep the site visually consistent and on-brand across pages, banners and launches
● Make banner and storefront graphic updates in Figma or Photoshop without waiting on a
designer
● Prep video for web and social: compressing, cropping, SDR conversion, optimizing file
size and load time, and time remapping
● Keep media assets organized in Air
E-commerce operations
● Configure and maintain collections, pages, navigation, menus and other storefront
settings
● Manage products and variants, keeping jewelry-specific details accurate: materials,
plating, sizing guides and care info
● Schedule and QA product drops and restocks, and build discount codes, automatic
discounts and sales without breaking pricing
● Maintain product feeds for Google Merchant Center and the Meta catalog
● Create and manage listings on TikTok Shop, Faire and other channels, support TikTok
Shop creator tools (e.g. Euka), and keep catalog data, pricing and inventory consistent
everywhere
● Keep an eye on site speed and on-page SEO: image compression, alt text, meta titles
and descriptions, URL structure and product schema
Apps, automation & compliance
● Own and maintain our app stack, including Gorgias, Intelligems, Redo and others
● Build and maintain Shopify Flow automations
● Research new apps and integrations and recommend the ones worth adding
● Make sure regular ADA / accessibility scans are run and fixes get done (our web
developer is responsible for the fixes).
● Maintain cookie consent, privacy settings and related legal requirements, and make sure
promotional tools (countdown timers, pop-ups) follow best practices
What We're Looking For
● 2–4 years of hands-on Shopify / e-commerce experience
● Proven experience managing web projects end to end, including directing developers,
designers or freelancers
● Strong UX instincts: you can look at a page, explain why it isn't converting, and propose
a fix
● A real design sensibility, with examples or a portfolio of site or design work you've
shaped
● Comfortable in Figma for wireframes and simple mockups, and in Photoshop for quick
graphic updates
● Data-informed: comfortable in Shopify Analytics, Triple Whale or GA4, A/B testing, and
spreadsheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP)
● Working knowledge of site speed, on-page SEO, accessibility and e-commerce
compliance basics
● Experience with product launches, promotions and marketplace listings (TikTok Shop,
Faire or similar)
● Comfortable editing and optimizing video for web
● Experience with a project management tool such as Notion, Asana or ClickUp
● Strong written English and clear async communication, including writing briefs and
documenting processes
● Self-starter who spots problems and proposes solutions without being asked
● Organized and detail-oriented, with a QA mindset
Bonus points
● Taste. You have a good eye and can tell when something looks off-brand
● You're passionate about subcultures, internet culture, fashion or jewelry
● Formal UX or design training, or experience running user research
● Experience with Gorgias, Intelligems, Redo, Shopify Flow or Air specifically
● Familiarity with Klaviyo or another email/SMS platform
● Basic to intermediate HTML/CSS/Liquid knowledge
