E-Learning Expert (SCORM Specialist)

Job Context: Riseup Labs is seeking an experienced e-learning Expert with a strong understanding of SCORM standards to design, develop, and manage interactive e-learning modules. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in instructional design, content authoring tools, and LMS integrations, ensuring engaging and trackable learning experiences that align with organizational goals. Job Responsibilities: Design and develop interactive e-learning content using SCORM-compliant authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, iSpring, etc.). Structure courses with clear learning objectives, effective instructional strategies, and assessments. Test, package, and deploy SCORM courses on LMS platforms, ensuring compatibility, tracking, and reporting. Troubleshoot SCORM-related issues across various LMS environments. Collaborate with SMEs to transform content into engaging learning materials. Optimize existing courses to align with current instructional design best practices and accessibility standards. Monitor learner progress and gather feedback to improve course effectiveness. Maintain e-learning content library and documentation. Educational Qualification: Degree in Information Technology, Education, or Instructional Design. Additional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in e-learning development with SCORM-compliant content. Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, or similar tools. Strong understanding of SCORM (1.2 and 2004), AICC, and xAPI preferred. Experience working with LMS platforms (Moodle, TalentLMS, LearnDash, etc.). Solid grasp of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Good To Have: Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript for custom e-learning enhancements. Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1). Experience integrating e-learning with HR or talent management systems.
