E-Learning Implementation Expert (Moodle)

Job Context: Riseup Labs is looking for a skilled Moodle/E-Learning Implementation Expert to help set up and optimize a learning management system (LMS). The role involves configuring Moodle Cloud, creating course templates, ensuring accessibility and multilingual support, and training internal staff for smooth ongoing management. Job Responsibilities: Configure and brand a Moodle Cloud environment according to organizational needs. Set up course categories, roles, and permissions. Develop reusable course templates (self-paced and live/virtual session formats). Create initial course shells and demonstrate proof-of-concept builds. Integrate common e-learning tools (e.g., Zoom, attendance, SCORM). Enable completion tracking, badges, and certificates. Conduct basic QA and testing with sample accounts. Provide admin and instructor training sessions with documentation for handover. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any discipline Additional Requirements: Strong experience with Moodle setup, configuration, and customization. Knowledge of course design and templating in Moodle. Familiarity with roles/permissions management and access rules. Understanding of accessibility standards (captions, transcripts, alt text, multilingual options). Experience integrating virtual classroom tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Excellent communication skills for client-facing training and handover. Preferred Background: 3+ years’ experience as a Moodle Administrator, LMS Specialist, or E-Learning Consultant. Experience supporting NGOs, educational institutions, or global training programs. Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI or open-source e-learning tools is a plus.
