(Senior) eCommerce Manager

Location : 4 days in the city office, 1 day wfh.

Our client is a fast-growing Australian activewear brand with a seriously engaged community and they're looking for an eCommerce Manager to own their online trading across site and app.

This is a hands-on, commercially driven role for someone who gets a buzz from a winning A/B test, knows exactly why a customer drops off at checkout and wants real ownership of the CRO roadmap, onsite search and online merchandising, all in a business that runs at the pace of weekly product drops.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning eCommerce strategy across desktop, mobile and app, turning customer data, competitor activity and market trends into a clear roadmap for growth
  • Running the CRO program end-to-end, from finding friction points with analytics, heatmaps and session recordings through to planning, running and rolling out A/B and multivariate tests
  • Owning onsite search performance, including relevance, synonyms, redirects and autocomplete and fixing zero-result and low-converting queries
  • Leading online merchandising across homepage, collection and category pages, product sorting, recommendations, bundles and cross-sell/upsell
  • Partnering with commercial, product and operations teams on hero products, new launches, stock levels and aged inventory to hit sales, margin and sell-through targets
  • Setting up category structure, navigation and collections for product drops, promotions and seasonal moments
  • Managing and developing an eCommerce Lead and CRM Coordinator, plus overseeing an external development agency and IT partners
  • Coordinating brand, creative, product marketing and digital teams so campaigns launch on time and land commercially
  • Reporting on traffic, conversion, AOV and CAC, and using the insights to keep improving the customer experience

What they're looking for:

  • Solid experience in an eCommerce, digital trading or integrated marketing role, ideally in DTC, retail or fashion
  • Hands-on experience running CRO and A/B testing programs (VWO, Optimizely, Convert or similar) and behaviour analytics tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
  • Experience managing onsite search and merchandising platforms such as Algolia, Searchspring, Klevu or Shopify Search & Discovery
  • A strong grasp of online merchandising and experience working with commercial teams on range, stock and margin priorities
  • A track record of planning and delivering cross-functional campaigns across email, social, web and product
  • Data-driven and commercially minded, comfortable owning the numbers and turning them into action
