Opportunity Overview

Our client is seeking an Ecommerce UI/UX Designer to create high-performing Shopify storefront experiences for DTC brands. The role spans full theme builds, landing pages, product pages, section redesigns, and rapid CRO test concepts. You will balance clean visual execution with commercial goals, building thoughtful customer journeys that support conversion, average order value, and ongoing iteration.

Role Description

You will design ecommerce website experiences across both substantial builds and fast-turnaround optimisation projects. Working primarily in Figma, you will translate commercial objectives into clear, polished layouts built for developer handover. You will collaborate with CRO specialists, developers, and account managers while explaining design decisions through a commercial lens. Success requires strong e-commerce UX judgement, organised files, and consistent execution across varied client work.

Key Responsibilities

• Shopify Experiences - Design themes, landing pages, product pages, sections, and CRO test variations.
• Conversion Design - Apply CRO principles across navigation, information architecture, collections, and customer journeys.
• Commercial Thinking - Connect design choices to conversion, average order value, clarity, and performance.
• Scalable Figma - Maintain organised files with reusable components, styles, and clear naming conventions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with CRO specialists, developers, and account managers on delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• English Fluency - Fluent, excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.
• Ecommerce Portfolio - Demonstrable Shopify or ecommerce website design experience supported by strong work samples.
• Figma Expertise - Deep proficiency using Figma as the primary tool for polished interface design.
• UX Fundamentals - Strong understanding of ecommerce funnels, customer intent, navigation, and information architecture.
• Visual Execution - Ability to deliver clean, modern interfaces balancing brand, usability, and performance.
• Developer Handover - Experience structuring design files for clear implementation and future iteration.

Bonus Qualifications

• CRO Experimentation - Experience creating rapid A/B test variations for ecommerce storefront improvements.
• Agency Environment - Experience managing varied design projects within Shopify or DTC-focused agency settings.
• AI Integration - Ability to explain how AI supports and improves current design workflows.
