Vector Legal is hiring junior and mid-level emerging company / venture capital (ECVC) venture capital lawyers with (1–5 years of experience) to serve as both a client advisor and counterparty-facing negotiator and a contributor to our platform. This is a hybrid role combining traditional legal practice with product-minded thinking, working directly with startup and investor clients while helping shape how legal services are delivered through our system. You’ll operate across a broad range of corporate work, including venture capital financings, SAFE and Note financings, day to day corporate support, equity issuances, lease negotiations and commercial contracts. In parallel, you’ll work closely with engineering and product to translate your legal expertise into scalable workflows, playbooks, and platform features. This role is best suited for a lawyer-builder who has strong fundamentals and attention to detail, is eager to learn and is a great team player, and is excited about rethinking how legal services are built and delivered. Location: Hybrid, San Francisco, CA. Qualifications: JD and active membership in the California 1–5 years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal team Foundational knowledge of emerging company / venture capital law Some experience with core startup documents, including NVCA financings and corporate law. Developing ability to manage client relationships with supervision Strong drafting, research, and issue-spotting skills Interest in legal technology and building scalable systems required Eligible to receive equity.
