The Role

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Strategy Manager to lead enterprise distribution strategy, channel optimization, network planning, and market expansion initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee distribution planning, channel performance, logistics strategy, commercial alignment, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and superior service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise distribution strategies, channel management frameworks, and network optimization plans aligned with organizational objectives and long-term growth goals.
• Lead distribution network planning, market expansion initiatives, fulfilment strategy, inventory positioning, and channel optimization across domestic and international markets.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, Commercial Operations, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, Data Analytics, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership to develop integrated distribution solutions.
• Analyze distribution channels, transportation models, warehouse networks, order fulfilment processes, customer demand patterns, and service levels to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop channel strategies for distributors, wholesalers, retailers, e-commerce platforms, direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations, and strategic business partners.
• Conduct market assessments, competitive benchmarking, distribution cost analyses, capacity planning, and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.
• Optimize logistics performance, inventory flow, delivery networks, warehouse utilization, and last-mile distribution strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate distribution partnerships, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight providers, warehouse operators, and strategic suppliers to ensure service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with UAE trade regulations, transportation requirements, customs procedures, health and safety standards, contractual obligations, and organizational governance policies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including order fulfilment rate, on-time delivery, distribution costs, inventory turnover, logistics efficiency, warehouse productivity, customer satisfaction, channel profitability, market coverage, and service-level agreement (SLA) performance.
• Conduct distribution audits, operational assessments, supplier evaluations, logistics risk analyses, network optimization studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage distribution budgets, transportation expenditures, warehouse investments, logistics technology platforms, strategic sourcing initiatives, and distribution transformation programmes.
• Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered demand forecasting, predictive logistics analytics, route optimization, intelligent inventory planning, warehouse automation, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA, Oracle SCM Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Active, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms to optimize distribution performance and generate actionable insights.
• Prepare executive dashboards, distribution performance reports, logistics analyses, channel performance reviews, cost optimization reports, market expansion assessments, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop distribution analysts, logistics planners, supply chain specialists, commercial strategy professionals, and multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of innovation, operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering Management, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP, CLTD, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution strategy, supply chain management, logistics, commercial operations, network planning, or related roles.
• At least 2 years of experience managing distribution networks, logistics transformation programmes, strategic supply chain initiatives, or multidisciplinary teams preferred.
• Strong understanding of distribution strategy, logistics management, warehouse operations, transportation planning, inventory optimization, demand forecasting, channel management, supply chain analytics, and operational excellence.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle SCM Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Active, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, TMS, WMS, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-powered supply chain analytics, predictive logistics platforms, digital twins, warehouse automation, robotics, IoT-enabled logistics, advanced forecasting technologies, and intelligent planning systems is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, financial analysis, project management, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple strategic distribution initiatives while balancing operational efficiency, customer service, cost optimization, inventory performance, regulatory compliance, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed supply chain teams, logistics providers, distributors, warehouse operators, commercial leaders, technology partners, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for distribution centre visits, supplier meetings, logistics reviews, strategic planning workshops, and customer engagements as required.
