We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

Product Creation and Industrialization (PC&I) brings together Ford’s vehicle, electric, digital and design teams with our global manufacturing system. Working as one end-to-end organization, we turn ideas into high-quality vehicles, software and experiences across gas, hybrid and electric, designed around what customers need.

In this position...
Build, modify, and repair prototype, breakout, and mule wiring harnesses to support vehicle development, integration, and testing. Apply hands-on harness fabrication and electrical troubleshooting skills to select and install connectors and terminals, complete harness rework, and verify wiring quality. Partner with engineering to deliver reliable prototype wiring that meets build and test needs.

What you'll do...

• Build, modify, and repair prototype, breakout, and mule harnesses for vehicle and bench applications.
• Select appropriate wire, connectors, terminals, and related components based on drawings, requirements, and application needs.
• Perform wire preparation, crimping, splicing, depinning, repinning, and connector or harness rework using suitable tools and methods.
• Inspect workmanship and perform continuity checks; support troubleshooting and repair of wiring faults.
• Prepare, update, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), wire lists, and harness build documentation.
• Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, build instructions, and engineering changes.
• Support prototype vehicle wiring, integration, testing, and issue investigation in collaboration with engineering and technicians.
• Document build changes, test results, and issues, and communicate progress or material needs to relevant teams.

You'll have...

Hands-on experience building, modifying, repairing, or troubleshooting automotive electrical wiring and harnesses.
• Practical ability to crimp terminals, splice wires, depin and repin connectors, and make reliable electrical connections.
• Familiarity with connector and terminal selection and with DMC, Delphi, or Amphenol crimping tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and use them to build or troubleshoot harnesses.
• Experience performing continuity checks and using digital multimeters and other electrical test equipment.
• Comfort using common hand and power tools and maintaining accurate build documentation, BOMs, and wire lists.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams in a hands-on prototype environment.

Even better, you may have...
• Automotive or aerospace prototype, pre-production, launch, or manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with low-voltage vehicle systems and wiring repairs.
• Exposure to oscilloscopes, CANalyzer, or vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
• Immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage
• Paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
• Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments and more
• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
• Paid time off for individual and team community service
• Generous vacation time, sick/personal time, and paid holidays, including between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day
