Role accountabilities:
Your role will be based in our EHS Advisory team, delivering excellent Occupational/Workplace H&S and Environmental support in a diverse range of projects, from large Arcadis multi-disciplinary projects to smaller local clients.
- Take a line management role for more junior members of the team and provide support to their professional growth.
- Work with the Associate Technical Directors within the team to build professional proposals, meeting with clients and building solutions based on our client’s needs. This included drafting and writing proposals and working with the Associate Technical Directors on the commercial development of offered service.
- There will be a likely split of 80:20 on Technical Delivery and development of new business.
- The role will also include technical delivery and supporting clients, including
- the development of digital solutions (SharePoint design, Microsoft Forms, Power Apps, Power BI Dashboarding etc), this can be for many different organisations or providing competent EHS assistance/person functions either as support functions of secondments into businesses or projects.
- The role also has close links with transactional services, so, a broad range of opportunities working on occupational workplace H&S and environmental due diligence works/gap analysis.
- You will be actively encouraged to challenge yourself, learn new things, and use your skills wherever they can make an impact across the extents of our Sustainability business.
- The role is flexible around office or home/office hybrid working (40%/60%). Shorter periods of time spent on-site at our client’s properties may be required, and occasional short term international/European travel may also be required. Opportunities may also arise for our staff to immerse themselves in our client’s businesses in part or full-time secondment roles.
Essential Experience
- Clean and UK Driver's License
- Experience as an EHS Consultant, EHS Advisor, EHS Manager or within a SHEQ function.
- Strong experience providing competent advice on UK & Ireland EHS legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven delivery of:
- Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001/HSG65)
- Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
- Internal audits and inspections
- Accident investigations
- Environmental audits and waste audits
- Health and wellbeing management (stress, anxiety and depression)
- Asbestos management
- Construction and refurbishment projects
- Environmental permitting requirements
- EHS training development and delivery
Professional Qualifications
- Membership of IOSH or ISEP, ideally:
- CMIOSH/Graduate IOSH/Tech IOSH, or
- ISEP Graduate or Associate level with progression towards higher membership
- Ideally qualified as an:
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, and/or
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
