Description The team at Eikon Research is seeking a Radar Firmware Engineer. The ideal candidate will be able to take designs/requirements and translate them into clear, well-documented, correct code/designs. A strong understanding of digital design fundamentals, firmware development processing, and parallel processing paradigms is required. The radar firmware engineering space is vast, so not all of these may apply: Support a Hybrid work schedule Develop, integrate, and test firmware to support radar systems. Typical projects may include: Development of/improvements to radar digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms Integration with hardware peripherals Integration with computing systems / subsystems Develop small software utilities to interface with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs. Software may include command-line test tools, benchmarks, or other utilities to assist in testing firmware Develop unit and integration tests for new and existing codebases Develop detailed documentation for functional handoff Participate in Agile development practices including daily standups and sprint planning/reviews Utilize tools such as Git, GitLab, and Jira for code management, issue tracking, Agile planning, and documentation Requirements Candidate must have bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering-related field Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance Candidate must have 5+ years' experience with the following: Xilinx Vivado Practical Linux usage SystemVerilog / Verilog / /VHDL Circuit analysis and FPGA integration Version Control Experience (Git/GitLab) Ability to work in-office when performing hardware integration and testing in Huntsville, AL is required Ability to work in both a group and individual capacity Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Background in radar, signal processing, or electrical engineering Experience with (C / C++, Python) Background experience with Xilinx FPGAs/SOCs About Eikon Research Inc.
