Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 - plus benefits

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team, working on a range of commercial design and build projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team, with opportunities for professional development, hybrid working and involvement in exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs and calculations for LTA packs across a range of commercial design and build projects.
• Complete Designer’s Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with relevant safety requirements.
• Prepare load analysis sheets, cable calculations, schematics and associated technical documentation.
• Develop electrical designs using AutoCAD, with supporting tools such as Amtech, Dialux and Relux.
• Support Project Managers with as-built drawings, site surveys, design validations and project documentation.

Key Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in electrical design within the commercial design and build sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience producing electrical calculations and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux or Relux.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build positive client relationships.

Desirable Experience

• Working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience attending client meetings and developing professional relationships
