Electrical Designer

My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to join their engineering team on a freelance contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design of specialist equipment used within the Marine and Mining industries, supporting projects across Helsinki, Tampere, and surrounding areas in Finland.

Rate: Dependent on Experience

The Role

• Design electrical systems and schematics for machinery and equipment used within the Marine and Mining sectors.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using EPLAN.
• Develop solutions for medium and high voltage applications in line with project and industry requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project teams, and customers throughout the design process.
• Support projects from concept design through to manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience using EPLAN software is essential.
• Strong background working with medium and/or high voltage electrical systems.
• Previous experience within machine design, industrial equipment, marine, mining, or heavy engineering environments is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English. Finnish speaking is a bonus!
