Electrical Engineer

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of UAE experience, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of UAE experience in Abu dhabi Emirates.

Experience in industrial electrical installations or Lighting experience will be advantageous.

Role Description This is a full-time Electrical Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and optimize electrical systems for construction, industrial, and oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily tasks include preparing drawings and technical specifications, performing load calculations, and coordinating power distribution and control systems with multidisciplinary project teams. The role involves site visits for inspections, commissioning support, troubleshooting electrical issues, and verifying that installations match design documents and safety requirements. The Electrical Engineer will also collaborate with contractors and clients, support project planning and cost estimation, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including creating schematics, layouts, and technical documentation for construction and industrial projects.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution, including low- and medium-voltage systems, panelboards, switchgear, and protective devices.
• Candidates should possess experience with Power Systems, including load flow analysis, fault analysis, and system reliability and efficiency optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced certifications or professional registration (e.g., PE or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Experience in oil and gas, power generation, desalination, or industrial facilities is highly beneficial, particularly in onshore and offshore environments.
• Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or similar) and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely on site, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a hybrid work environment in Abu Dhabi.
