As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems. Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- As part of BA NPI Engineering Group, you will be one among the team designing & sustaining electronic fire panels.
- Create and modify PCB layouts for analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic assemblies.
- Develop and maintain multilayer PCB stackups based on electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing requirements.
- Place components and route PCB traces according to schematics, design rules, and layout guidelines.
- Apply best practices for power distribution, grounding, return paths, controlled impedance, and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Support high-speed signal routing, differential pair routing, length matching, and impedance-controlled traces.
- Implement appropriate clearance, creepage, thermal relief, via, copper pour, and plane design requirements.
- Generate and maintain PCB design documentation, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, layer tables, and manufacturing notes.
- Perform layout reviews using schematic cross-probing, design-rule checks, electrical-rule checks, and visual inspection.
- Support schematic-to-layout synchronization and resolve layout-related issues identified during design reviews.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure that circuit requirements are correctly implemented in the PCB layout.
- Work with mechanical engineers to verify board outline, mounting holes, component keepouts, enclosure interfaces, and mechanical constraints.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to improve manufacturability, assembly quality, and production yield.
- Support prototype builds, board bring-up, design validation, and troubleshooting of layout-related issues.
- Assist with engineering change requests, revision control, and configuration management.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of PCB design processes and standards.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of basic analog and digital electronics.
- Familiarity with PCB layout concepts and multilayer board construction.
- Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design workflows.
- Basic understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles.
- Ability to read schematics, datasheets, mechanical drawings, and PCB fabrication specifications.
WE VALUE
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented design standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
