Put your electrical expertise to work keeping a leading business school’s campus safe, connected and switched on.

The Role

London Business School is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson to help keep our campus facilities operating safely and reliably. You’ll respond to electrical faults and emergencies, carry out planned maintenance and inspections, and contribute to improvements across the School’s buildings.

Reporting to the Estates Helpdesk & Maintenance Manager, you’ll work across campus as part of the Estates maintenance team, collaborating with colleagues, contractors and the wider School community to deliver a responsive, high-quality service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain electrical systems and a wide range of electrical equipment across campus.

  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent requests, and complete planned preventative maintenance inspections and associated work.

  • Install and troubleshoot lighting and emergency-lighting systems, and work with both 230V and 400V power.

  • Report progress, completion and outstanding priorities to the Maintenance Shift Leader and Estates Helpdesk.

  • Keep work-order records accurate and up to date, including time spent and materials used, and complete and sign off requests within required timescales.

  • Liaise with work requesters to arrange access, and coordinate with internal teams and contractors to support safe, high-quality work.

  • Use BMS and CAFM systems, maintain appropriate records, and help monitor stock levels and order standard materials and consumables.

  • Provide practical support and guidance to less experienced colleagues, and contribute to small projects and other maintenance tasks as required.

  • Keep workshops and stores clean, orderly and appropriately stocked, and remain flexible to support the wider needs of the School.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A minimum Level 3 NVQ electrical qualification and 18th Edition certification.

  • Experience working as part of a maintenance team, including electrical installation, repairs and planned maintenance.

  • Practical experience with lighting and emergency lighting, and working with 230V and 400V power.

  • Competence using BMS and experience with CAFM systems and standard IT packages.

  • A customer-focused, safety-conscious problem-solver who can work independently and collaborate effectively.

  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with colleagues, contractors and a range of stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

  • A flexible, reliable approach and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • Generous annual leave of 27 days plus extra between Christmas and New Year

  • Enrolment into the Group Pension Scheme

  • Free onsite gym and swimming pool

  • Amazing range of professional development to support your career path

  • Enhanced cycle to work scheme

  • Wellbeing offering to support your physical, mental and financial health

  • Up to 5 days volunteering leave
