Role Description This is a part-time Electrician role based in Mpumalanga, South Africa, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home as appropriate. The Electrician will perform day-to-day electrical tasks, including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial environments. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, performing troubleshooting, and ensuring work complies with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and other team members, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with clients about issues, timelines, and solutions. Some administrative and reporting tasks may be completed remotely, while on-site visits will be required for hands-on electrical work.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electricity and electrical work, with the ability to work safely with electrical systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance & repair activities, including preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electrical equipment.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving electrical faults efficiently.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to practical field applications.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification as an Electrician, and eligibility to work with local electrical standards and codes.
• Experience in industrial or commercial environments, including working with tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.
• Commitment to safety practices, risk assessment, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage part-time schedules, and adapt to hybrid work requirements.
