Why this role
At Novuqare you won’t design one sub-board of someone else’s product. You’ll own the electronics of complete devices. Our products include MAPLe, a CE-marked medical device for pelvic health rehabilitation, and ProSeal, a rotary pouch sealer used in hospitals. We also build OEM products for a global health-tech company. A new Class IIa medical device is in development. We’re a team of about 15, so your designs go from schematic to production, and you’ll see the impact they have.
What you’ll do
- Design analog and digital electronics, from architecture and schematic to multilayer PCB and working prototype
- Bring up, debug and verify boards in the lab, including EMC pre-compliance scans
- Define the hardware/firmware interfaces and support our external firmware partner during bring-up
- Prepare designs for safety and EMC testing at external test houses
- Support production and our contract manufacturer, and solve technical issues on released products
- Contribute to the development of our new medical device
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years designing analog and digital electronics, with multilayer PCB layout in Altium, KiCad or similar
- Strong hands-on lab and debugging skills (oscilloscope, DMM, structured fault-finding)
- Experience designing to a product-safety or EMC standard, such as IEC 61010, IEC 62368, automotive EMC or IEC 60601
- A pragmatic way of working, and enjoyment of variety in a small team
- Fluent English
Nice to have, not required
- IEC 60601 experience, or experience in another regulated industry (ISO 13485, ISO 9001)
- Low-noise analog front-ends, biosignal measurement (EMG/ECG) or stimulation circuits
- Experience supporting a contract manufacturer, and DFM/DFT
- Dutch
You don’t need a medtech background. Engineers from industrial, automotive or test-and-measurement electronics often make the switch well. We’ll train you in IEC 60601 and medical device regulations.
What we offer
- €4,000–€6,000 gross per month, depending on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance and pension
- Hybrid working and flexible hours, based at our office in Rosmalen
- A paid IEC 60601 training course and a personal training budget, so you can grow into our in-house 60601 expert
- Broad product ownership across medical, industrial and OEM devices
