We're looking for an Email Marketing Associate who loves turning data into action and subscribers into loyal bidders. The Email Marketing Associate will be responsible for managing and growing all aspects of our email marketing efforts, including overall email strategy, campaign development, copy & design optimization, A/B testing, and performance analysis. They will play an integral part in scaling our existing email activities and expanding our email and SMS footprint to nurture new registrants through the buyer journey from browse to bid to purchase, while keeping existing bidders engaged with our ever-changing inventory.
The ideal candidate will have ample experience conceptualizing and running email and SMS-based campaigns, as well as strong understanding of growth marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Maintain a scalable and sustainable email marketing strategy to nurture new users and retain and continuously re-engage the existing user base.

Produce and execute all email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, and scheduling.

Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing calendar and ensure its alignment with business objectives and internal stakeholders.

Implement customer data to segment audiences, trigger flows, and personalize email and SMS content.

Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results, and advise on improvements.

Apply UTM parameters per established governance standards.

Work in partnership with designers to optimize email creative and template structure based on best practices and user behavior data.

Collaborate with other stakeholders to support new and ongoing business partnerships.

Monitor and evaluate performance to maintain excellent deliverability, sender reputation, and list hygiene.

Propose changes to continuously optimize and improve campaign performance and user experience.

Keep on top of emerging trends and innovative email marketing strategies from other leading global brands to gain insights on the latest best practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 3-5 years experience as an email marketer.

Proficient working with the Klaviyo platform.

Proven experience managing email marketing.

Hands-on experience in marketing automation platforms.

Detailed knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CASL, and TCPA compliance and best practices.

Proven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing database.

Experience building an email marketing campaign from scratch and developing multi-step email flows.

Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Apps Script, Claude or other AI platform, and A/B testing.

Excellent written communication skills.

Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Working Settings:

Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.

Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Central Time zone, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.

Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.

This position is remote work eligible within the United States. Please be aware: one week of employment includes mandatory in-person training.

Potential for 10% travel, should the need arise.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:
-
The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $64,000 to $73,000 per year.

Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).

Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company’s cell phone policy, currently $120/month.
