Email Marketing & CRM Manager (Klaviyo)
Company: Zoa Group
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Remote, UK-based
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
About Zoa Group
Zoa Group is a group of leading circular economy brands, helping more products find their next owner or user through resale and rental. In this role, you’ll work across the brands within the group: Thrift+ and Hirestreet, with Wowzer and Reuseabook soon joining the email and CRM programme. Each brand has distinct audiences and customer journeys, giving you the opportunity to shape email marketing across a varied and growing group.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced email marketer to own our email marketing and CRM function, from customer journey planning and automated flows to campaigns, copywriting and performance analysis.
You’ll bring practical Klaviyo expertise and experience independently managing an email programme. You’ll be comfortable deciding what needs improving, proposing a plan and delivering the work.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll receive commercial direction, feedback and support, while taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of the channel.
Your initial focus
Your first major project will be to review and rebuild our existing email programmes. You’ll audit our Klaviyo setup, map customer journeys, identify gaps and agree a prioritised delivery plan with the Head of Marketing.
You’ll then build, test and launch improvements, alongside reviewing campaign performance and developing recommendations for future activity.
Following the rebuild, you’ll continue to own the function, managing campaigns, improving flows and bringing further group brands into the programme.
Thrift+ customers can buy pre-loved clothing or send us their clothes for us to list and sell on their behalf. Hirestreet serves customers renting fashion. Across the group, you’ll need to understand different customer motivations and build communications that encourage acquisition, conversion, retention and repeat use.
What you’ll do
- Own the email marketing calendar across brands, from planning and copywriting through to building, testing, scheduling and reporting.
- Build and improve Klaviyo flows across acquisition, onboarding, conversion, retention and reactivation.
- Develop segmentation and personalisation based on customer behaviour, preferences and lifecycle stage.
- Map overlapping customer journeys so communications remain relevant to people who use more than one service, including customers who both buy and sell with Thrift+.
- Incorporate credits, loyalty incentives and retention schemes into campaigns and automated journeys.
- Analyse performance and recommend improvements to send frequency, audience selection, email formats and content.
- Write and test subject lines, preview text, email copy and calls to action, adapting your approach to each brand.
- Monitor deliverability, list health and contact frequency across campaigns and flows.
- Check triggers, flow logic, exclusions, links and rendering before launch.
- Identify gaps in customer data or tracking and work with relevant colleagues to resolve them.
- Maintain clear reporting, documentation and a structured testing plan.
- Bring recommendations to the Head of Marketing, with short daily updates on progress, priorities and any support needed.
What we’re looking for
- Ideally three or more years’ experience in email marketing, CRM or lifecycle marketing.
- Strong hands-on Klaviyo experience, including flows, segmentation, reporting and personalisation.
- Previous responsibility for independently running an email programme, including campaigns and automated flows.
- Evidence of improvements you have personally planned, implemented and measured.
- Confident copywriting skills and an understanding of how to adapt messaging for different audiences and brands.
- The ability to interpret performance data and turn it into practical decisions.
- A sound understanding of deliverability, consent, list management and email marketing best practice.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage your own priorities.
- Confidence working remotely and taking ownership without detailed daily instructions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in resale, rental, marketplaces or businesses with multiple customer journeys would be valuable, as would experience managing email across several brands.
- Experience deploying and utilising SMS/whatsapp marketing messages.
- Experience using a customer loyalty scheme as a retention and reengagement tool.
We welcome thoughtful use of AI tools to support planning, analysis and copy development. You’ll remain responsible for the accuracy, quality and implementation of your work.
How you’ll work
You’ll have room to shape the channel and recommend how it should develop. The Head of Marketing will provide business context, agree priorities and review your proposals and output. You’ll bring the email expertise, structure the work and deliver it. This is a permanent, full-time role within our team, with your working time dedicated to the business.
How to apply
Please apply with your CV and a short summary of an email programme you have owned. Tell us what you were responsible for, what you changed and the results you achieved.
- Please also confirm your Klaviyo experience, notice period and availability.
