BoxTech is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to work on GPS tracking devices, IoT hardware, device communication, firmware analysis, configuration tools, and hardware/software integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with GPS trackers, IoT devices, sensors, and telematics hardware

• Study and understand device firmware, protocols, commands, and communication architecture

• Develop and modify embedded firmware where required

• Work with UART, RS232/RS485, BLE, USB, TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT and related communication technologies

• Develop tools/utilities for device configuration, testing, diagnostics, and firmware management

• Analyze device protocols and integrate hardware with software platforms

• Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms such as STM32, ESP32, ARM or similar

• Debug hardware and firmware issues using tools such as Wireshark, serial terminals, logic analyzers, debuggers and protocol analyzers

• Work with GPS/GNSS, GSM/LTE, CAN Bus and other vehicle/IoT communication technologies

• Perform device testing, troubleshooting and technical validation

• Coordinate with device manufacturers and suppliers for technical documentation, SDKs, firmware and engineering support

• Prepare technical documentation, testing reports and integration guides

• Support BoxTech's R&D, technical support and software development teams

Required Skills

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer, Telecom, Mechatronics Engineering or related field

• Good understanding of Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers

• Knowledge of C / C++

• Basic knowledge of Python is preferred

• Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT and serial communication

• Familiarity with GPS/GNSS and GSM/LTE devices

• Ability to read technical documentation, protocols and datasheets

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Interest in firmware, hardware integration and IoT product development

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
