Employment type: Full-time

Seniority: Mid-Senior to Senior

Function: Sales / Business Development / Channel Management

IMPORTANT — LOCATION REQUIREMENT (READ BEFORE APPLYING):

Do not apply unless you are currently located in DACH, the UK, France, Benelux, or the Nordics. Applications from outside these regions will be rejected.

Help us redefine low-power electronics!

Nanopower Semiconductor is a European fabless semiconductor company developing a new generation of ultra-low-power technology for battery-powered and energy-harvesting electronics.

Our award-winning nPZero™ Power-Saving IC fundamentally changes how low-power systems are designed. Rather than keeping the host MCU running to monitor sensors, nPZero can autonomously manage sensors and peripherals and wake the host only when required—reducing system energy consumption by up to 90% in sensor-based applications.

Our technology is now in volume production, and we are scaling the commercial organisation to take nPZero to the next level.

This is NOT a traditional channel management role

We are looking for an exceptional EMEA Distribution & Direct Sales leader who can create demand, build opportunities and personally drive design wins through to production.

Distribution is one route to market. Direct sales is another.

Your job is to win the design—whatever channel gets you there.

You will own defined territories and distributor relationships, but success will ultimately be measured by the quality of the design funnel and the number of opportunities you convert into production revenue.

Create the opportunity → influence the design → win the socket → drive production.

You will work directly with Design in focussed Distributors and their sales and FAE organisations, OEMs, ODMs, as well as with design houses . You will identify where customers are wasting energy, understand their system architecture and power budget, and turn that technical problem into a compelling commercial opportunity for nPZero.

What you'll do

  • In conjunction with VP Global Sales, build and execute the EMEA growth strategy across direct and distribution channels.
  • Identify target customers, applications and markets where ultra-low power creates meaningful value.
  • Personally develop and drive design-win opportunities from prospecting through evaluation, design-in and production.
  • Influence engineering decisions at the system and architecture level.
  • Build relationships across engineering, product management, procurement and executive teams.
  • Own and develop key distributor relationships, creating genuine demand rather than simply managing fulfilment.
  • Establish joint plans, pipeline discipline, technical enablement and accountability with distribution partners.
  • Work closely with Nanopower FAE, engineering and marketing teams to accelerate customer evaluations and remove technical or commercial barriers.
  • Maintain a rigorous, measurable design funnel and accurate forecast.
  • Feed customer, market and competitive intelligence back into the Nanopower organisation.

What makes you successful

You are a semiconductor commercial professional, not simply a channel manager.

You have a demonstrable history of:

  • Creating and closing semiconductor design-in opportunities.
  • Selling technically differentiated products to engineering-led customers.
  • Building new business rather than simply managing an inherited account base.
  • Working successfully through distributors while retaining ownership of the customer and design win.
  • Selling directly to OEMs, ODMs and design houses.
  • Understanding the semiconductor design cycle and what it takes to move from evaluation to production.
  • Engaging credibly with engineers on system architecture, power budgets and technical trade-offs.
  • Managing complex, multi-country EMEA opportunities.
  • Forecasting, negotiating and converting pipeline into revenue.

Experience in power management, analogue/mixed-signal, MCUs, sensors, connectivity, IoT, energy harvesting or other embedded technologies is particularly valuable.

You do need to be technically curious enough to understand the customer's problem and commercially capable enough to turn that problem into a design win.

The Nanopower mindset - culture is king

We are an early-stage technology company, so this role requires more than experience. It requires ownership, maturity and entrepreneurial drive.

We want someone who:

  • Creates rather than waits.
  • Takes personal ownership of outcomes.
  • Can build strategy but is equally comfortable making the customer call.
  • Influences without relying on organisational authority.
  • Is disciplined about pipeline, CRM and forecasting.
  • Is resilient enough to pursue complex semiconductor design cycles.
  • Enjoys ambiguity, pace and building something new.
  • Cares about solving the customer's problem—not simply selling another component.
  • Wants to help build Nanopower's commercial organisation, rather than inherit an established sales machine.

Why Nanopower?

This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal point in the company's journey.

You will be selling genuinely differentiated semiconductor technology, working directly with engineering and leadership, shaping the EMEA go-to-market strategy and helping establish nPZero as a new approach to ultra-low-power system design.

Your impact will be visible.

Success means:

More qualified opportunities.

More evaluations.

More design-ins.

More design wins.

More production programmes.

Stronger distribution partners.

More customers making every microwatt count.

If you have the technical credibility to engage engineers, the commercial capability to win designs and the entrepreneurial mindset to build a market, we want to hear from you.

Location: Europe / EMEA — remote or hybrid

Travel: Regular travel across Europe required

Seniority: Senior Manager / Director

Function: Sales, Business Development & Distribution

Please note: This is a senior semiconductor sales role. Applicants should have substantial semiconductor/electronic-component sales experience, a demonstrable history of design wins and experience working with European customers and/or distribution channels.
