- Create, track, and communicate matter status updates, including upcoming deadlines, responsiveness expectations, budget and estimate updates, cost-savings information, tools used, and other key operational details.
- Provide operational support that removes administrative and tracking burdens from eMerge Attorney Case Managers where added structure and follow-through are needed to protect client care and service consistency.
- Support operating initiatives (e.g., process changes, tool rollouts, reporting enhancements) using an impact‑focused prioritization approach that balances client service, risk, and effort.
- Support the Director of eMerge Operations with eMerge operational reporting needs, including dashboards, analyses, and presentations for firm and practice leadership.
- Use sound judgment in determining which stakeholders to involve for each initiative or issue, ensuring the right individuals are directed when responsible party and appropriate stakeholders are included for visibility.
- Facilitate alignment and coordination between eMerge and other firm teams (e.g., IT, Finance, Marketing, Innovation) to support seamless service delivery.
- Regularly review existing eMerge operational workflows, including matter intake, reporting, vendor management, and internal coordination, to identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and reduce friction.
- Develop and present actionable, solution‑oriented recommendations, including proposed process changes, templates, checklists, and tools, and support implementation and adoption efforts.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in eDiscovery, legal operations, and data management, and recommend enhancements to processes and technologies.
- Assist with training and provide guidance to legal and administrative staff on eMerge tools, processes, and best practices for eDiscovery, data management, and matter workflows.
- Support the creation and maintenance of clear documentation related to eMerge processes, procedures, and communication protocols.
- Approach every interaction with a client‑service‑first mindset, balancing responsiveness, quality, and risk management.
- Maintain confidential information with discretion and in accordance with firm policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, staff, and administrative departments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and proactively regarding matter status, budget and estimate updates, deadlines, risks, and next steps.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships at all levels within the firm.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational issues, interpret data/metrics, and develop practical, solution-oriented recommendations.
- Ability to triage routine operational issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfort working with data and creating reports and presentations.
- Comfort developing and maintaining trackers, reports, dashboards, and summaries that support matter oversight, budget awareness, cost-savings visibility, and operational accountability.
- Detail‑oriented with a proactive, solution‑driven approach to problem‑solving; consistently presents options and recommendations rather than problems alone.
- Strong commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and organizational values.
- Committed to high standards of excellence and proven results; demonstrates a sense of ownership and accountability.
- High level of energy and professionalism with well‑developed interpersonal strengths and a client‑service orientation.
- Ability to adapt and flex ways of working in response to changing priorities, while maintaining focus on high‑impact activities.
