Description OVERVIEW Relias Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead the Emergency Department at a community hospital in Louisiana. This is a leadership opportunity for a board-certified emergency physician ready to drive quality and shape operations in a supportive, collegial environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide medical direction oversight for the ED, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with hospital administration on performance initiatives Maintain professional and courteous communication with facility and Relias administration and team members Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement and risk management plans for the Emergency Department Participate in all meetings required by Relias to satisfy contractual obligations and improve facility operations REQUIREMENTS Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred; Board certified FM or IM physician accepted Previous leadership experience preferred Active Louisiana medical license or ability to obtain prior to start FACILITY DETAILS 18,000 Annual ED Volume 17-Bed Emergency Department No Trauma Designation 24-Hour Physician Coverage 12-Hour Shifts 10 Hours of APC Coverage EMR: Meditech Expanse Specialty Services: OB, Peds, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Nephrology POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 1099 Employment Flexible Scheduling Malpractice and Tail Coverage Provided Medical Director Stipend Competitive Hourly Rate This is a confidential posting.
