Join us as an: Employee Engagement Specialist Job Overview: The Employee Engagement Specialist is responsible for fostering a positive, fun, and engaging workplace culture while managing a wide range of employee-focused initiatives and company events. The Employee Engagement Specialist will oversee the coordination of company events, negotiate related costs, and assist with annual overseas trips. This role ensures that employees feel valued, supported, and engaged, contributing to the overall success of the company. In this role you’ll get to manage these functions: Event Coordination & Management Together with another Event coordinator lead the planning and execution of company events, including summer outings, special fun days, and the annual Christmas party. Ensure all events align with company values and foster team bonding and employee engagement. Oversee logistics, schedules, and ensure all events run smoothly. Collaborate with other teams to coordinate event logistics and resources. Cost Negotiation & Budgeting Manage the negotiation and costing of all company events and employee experiences, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. Work with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure the best pricing for events while maintaining quality and employee satisfaction. Annual Overseas Trips Assistance Provide support for the planning, coordination, and execution of the company’s annual overseas trips to destinations like South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand. Assist with travel arrangements, itinerary planning, visa processes (including documentation guidance, application coordination) and overall trip logistics to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for employees. Participate in the trips to guide the group, provide on-site support, and ensure smooth operations. Coordination of Peer Bonding Activities Coordinate peer bonding activities to foster team integration and morale, particularly enabling people from various locations to meet, connect, and build relationships. Organize regular events such as pizza nights, virtual or in-person movie nights, board game sessions, and sport activities. Ensure inclusive participation through hybrid formats, icebreakers, and follow-up check-ins to strengthen ties and combat isolation in distributed teams. Survey Implementation & Feedback Collection Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee happiness, satisfaction, and areas for improvement. Analyze survey data and collaborate with management to take actionable steps based on employee input. What you’ll need to succeed: Proven experience in event planning, employee engagement, or a similar role. Strong negotiation and budget management skills. Strong project management skills with great organization and attention to detail. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and levels within the organization. Passion for creating a positive and engaging work culture. Strong analytical and survey research skills. Proficiency in Google Suite or similar tools; experience with project management tools like Trello, Slack Lists, Monday.com , etc., and event management software is a plus.
