Employment Law Attorney

Employment Law Attorney for an Employment Law firm in Orange County, CA.

Direct Hire opportunity. Paying $220k-330k/yr, depending on experience. Primarily remote environment, with as-needed travel for meetings, depositions and appearances. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (firm can offer flexibility).

Responsibilities:

• Manage employment law matters from initial case assessment through resolution, including discovery, litigation, and trial preparation.
• Defend employers against employment-related claims, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on litigation risks, case strategy, and applicable employment laws.
• Collaborate with legal teams and clients to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.

• 10+ years of employment law experience.
• Recent experience defending against PAGA claims within the past 12 months.
• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong litigation, legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex cases and prioritize competing deadlines.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $220,000.00 - $330,000.00
