About Fairhill Solicitors
Fairhill Solicitors is a growing boutique law firm based in the City of London, advising businesses and private clients in the UK and internationally. We are seeking an Employment Law Solicitor with at least one year’s PQE to join our team and manage a varied caseload.
The role
You will manage your own caseload and take an active role in developing our employment law department, helping to grow its services and client relationships. You will advise both employers and employees across the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks and workplace policies.
- Advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures, dismissals, redundancies, reorganisations and TUPE.
- Handling unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and other employment claims.
- Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements and providing independent advice to employees.
- Managing Employment Tribunal proceedings, including case preparation, hearings and liaison with counsel where appropriate.
- Advising on restrictive covenants and contractual disputes, providing practical solutions and keeping clients informed.
About you
We are looking for:
- A qualified solicitor with at least one year’s PQE.
- Relevant employment law experience, including advisory work and disputes.
- The ability to manage your own caseload and recognise when support is needed.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and client communication skills.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
Experience advising both employers and employees, and handling Employment Tribunal proceedings, would be an advantage.
What we offer
- Direct client contact and meaningful responsibility for your matters.
- Exposure to a broad range of employment law work.
- The opportunity to contribute to the development of our employment practice.
- Hybrid working may be available.
