Employment Solicitor | Associate / Senior Associate | London & Oxford

3-6+ PQE | Leading Employment Law Practices | Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor considering your next career move, or interested in exploring opportunities within some of the UK's most highly regarded Employment teams?

Lex Exec is working closely with two leading Employment law practices, both recognised in the major legal directories for the quality and breadth of their work.

We are particularly interested in speaking with Associates and Senior Associates from approximately 3 PQE upwards, including experienced Senior Associates seeking greater responsibility, opportunities to develop a specialism or a clearer route towards Partnership.

Opportunities are available in London, with an additional opportunity in Oxford.

The Opportunities

Both practices enjoy outstanding reputations within Employment law, advising sophisticated clients on complex, commercially significant and often sensitive matters.

Their teams include recognised specialists across several distinct areas of Employment law, offering lawyers the opportunity to develop their careers around their particular strengths and interests.

Depending on your experience and preferred direction, opportunities may involve:

  • Senior Executives: Advising senior executives, directors and high-profile individuals on negotiated exits, discrimination, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants and complex disputes.
  • Corporate Employment Advisory: Strategic advice to employers, board-level stakeholders and HR leadership teams, including the Employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations.
  • Employment Litigation: Complex Employment Tribunal and High Court proceedings, including discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, restrictive covenants and team moves.
  • Workplace Investigations: Conducting and advising on sensitive internal investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters and allegations involving senior personnel.
  • Education and Schools: Advising schools, educational institutions and other education-sector employers on complex Employment and employee relations matters.
  • General Employment Advisory: Providing commercially focused advice on the full spectrum of Employment law, including restructuring, redundancy, TUPE and strategic workforce issues.

These are opportunities to work alongside highly regarded Employment Partners, develop meaningful client relationships and build expertise within established, respected teams.

Who We Would Like to Speak With

We are particularly interested in Employment Solicitors with approximately 3-8+ years' PQE, although relevant experience and technical capability are more important than a rigid qualification bracket.

You may be:

  • An Associate seeking exposure to more sophisticated work and specialist practitioners.
  • A Senior Associate looking for greater autonomy, stronger client relationships and a clearer progression pathway.
  • An experienced Employment litigator interested in developing a broader advisory practice.
  • A lawyer with an established specialism in senior executives, investigations, corporate advisory or education.
  • An ambitious Senior Associate considering the longer-term route towards Legal Director or Partnership.

We would welcome conversations with lawyers from leading specialist Employment practices, City firms and highly regarded national or regional teams.

Why Explore These Opportunities?

Both firms have established reputations in Employment law and offer the opportunity to work with respected practitioners on high-quality matters.

Depending on the opportunity, attractions include:

  • Highly ranked Employment practices recognised in the leading legal directories.
  • Exposure to sophisticated clients and complex, high-value matters.
  • Opportunities to develop or deepen a specialist Employment practice.
  • Direct access to experienced Partners and meaningful client responsibility.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits.
  • Hybrid working arrangements.
  • Long-term career development and progression opportunities.

Importantly, these are two distinct practices, each offering different strengths, cultures and career opportunities. We would be happy to discuss which environment might be the better fit for your experience and ambitions.
