EMT FLOAT

Responsible for the safe transportation and patient care of Basic and Advanced Life Support patients to and from medical facilities and within emergency department. The EMT can be involved in all aspects of patient care within their skill set.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Licensure/Certification

• Current BLS certification Required
• Current EMT certification Required
• EVOC Required
• NREMT Preferred

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to communicate with patients and other staff – verbal, auditory, and in written form using Augusta Health documentation.

Job Requires Valid Driver’s License

• To drive an Augusta Health Vehicle, must also be 21 years old and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management.
• Accept VA-DMV Record
