Energy Utility Project Management Summer Internship

Must reside in a service territory (DE, MD, PA, OH, VA, GA, NC, FL)

Your role in our success will be...

As a Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting energy utility projects from planning through execution. You will work alongside project managers and project controls professionals to help coordinate project activities, track schedules and budgets, update documentation, and prepare reports that support informed decision-making. This internship is designed to build your understanding of how project management, cost control, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration come together to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient energy solutions.

What you’ll be working on…

  • Support project managers with planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up on project tasks, meetings, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, action items, dependencies, and risks to help keep work on target.
  • Help prepare project estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost updates while learning how scope, schedule, and resources impact overall project performance.
  • Monitor project controls data, including schedules, costs, progress updates, and reporting dashboards, to support timely decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather project information, update documentation, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to both project management and project controls practices within a regulated energy utility environment.

Who you are...

  • Must have a High School Diploma, pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related major (i.e. Project Management, Engineering, etc)
