• Monitor, identify and resolve component lifecycle issues and assist teams to identify appropriate resources and substitutes for components.

• Provide support to design team to perform component research and qualification.

• Manage and assist activities involving component obsolescence and life cycle, including identifying of alternative parts, recommend solutions and ensuring supply continuity.

• Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability

• Need to prepare test setup for component qualification, test report preparation and approval of alternate parts

• Monitoring of components, assemblies, sub-assemblies compliance to FITS, RoHS, REACH, CMRT, Safety and Regulatory requirements.

• Effective communication with manufacturer and distributor for datasheet, compliance report collection and engaging manufacturer on field reported component failure study and arriving at solution.

• Administer ECR, ECN, EOL databases and maintain log of requests. Communicate effectively to design and supply chain team for possible impact and supply continuity.

• Builds productive internal/external working relationships
  
  Mandatory skills:

• Must have sound knowledge in electronic component selection, qualification and approval process.

• Experience with making test setup for component qualification. Having work experience in telecom domain will be an added advantage.

• Work experience in fibre optic component qualification will be an advantage.

  Desired skills:

• Knowledge on RoHS, REACH, CMRT are required

• Need to have design understanding knowledge, Schematic and PCB tool usage knowledge

• Must have knowledge on approval process, ECN / ECR / EOL process.

Ability to work with little or no supervision with good interpersonal skills

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in component design & testing

• Education: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in ECE/EEE.
