We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer, Applications & Infrastructure Operations to join our 24/7 Operation Center within Global Infrastructure Operations in Oslo, Norway.

The IT Infrastructure Operations (TCIOS) department is responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of Statkraft's global IT services around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our responsibilities span daily operations, service reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and lifecycle management of critical infrastructure and applications.

As part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, we are expanding our 24/7 Operation Center team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the availability and performance of Statkraft’s global IT environment. Working in a rotating shift schedule, you will proactively monitor infrastructure and business-critical applications, respond to operational alerts, perform initial troubleshooting and service recovery actions, manage incident escalations, and coordinate with on-call specialists when required.

In your role you will:

  • Continuous monitoring of IT infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Responding to alerts, incidents, changes and service requests in accordance with established operational procedures.
  • Performing first and second line troubleshooting and service restoration activities.
  • Escalating incidents and coordinating with technical teams and on-call support as needed.
  • Contributing to operational excellence through process improvements and knowledge sharing.
  • Supporting the stability, security, and availability of Statkraft's global IT services.
  • Scope:

The Operation Center provides continuous coverage through a rotating three-shift schedule:

  • Morning shift 07:00–15:00
  • Afternoon shift 15:00–23:00
  • Night shift 23:00–07:00

Each shift is staffed by one dedicated Engineer who is actively monitoring and supporting Statkraft’s global IT services throughout the duration of the shift.

  • Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must have a valid background check conducted by Semac or an equivalent provider.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Level 2 IT Support, Operations, or a similar technical support role.
  • Hands-on experience with the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows clients and servers, network infrastructure components, printers, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Strong customer and service orientation, with a professional approach to incident handling and stakeholder communication.
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and processes, preferably with knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Ability to quickly acquire new technical knowledge and adapt to changing technologies and operational requirements.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, structured, and resilient, with the ability to remain effective in high-pressure situations and during critical incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Calm and focused under pressure.
  • Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Reliable and dependable in a 24/7 operational environment.
