We're looking for a passionate and experienced Power Platform Engineer to help develop and evolve the Remediation CoE Power Platform solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, brings a forward-thinking mindset, and can turn business needs into practical, scalable solutions. You'll contribute to the development of innovative applications, automation, and digital capabilities that drive efficiency and deliver real value to operational and project teams.
At Nationwide we aim to get things right first time, but when something does go wrong, we pride ourselves in putting it right for our customers quickly and efficiently. As our name suggests, the Remediation Centre of Excellence is a specialised cross community capability who rapidly assimilate knowledge and build an understanding of emerging issues and incidents through analysis of data and processes to conduct the required remediation for impacted customers.
This is a 12 month secondment opportunity.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or Northampton office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.
If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
What you’ll be doing
You'll play an important role in the ongoing development of the Remediation CoE Power Platform Hub, working closely with other engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
Supporting a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including case management, workflow automation, and business applications, you'll help build and maintain solutions that are scalable and aligned to business needs. You'll collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge and provide day-to-day technical guidance to E1 engineers, helping them develop their skills and confidence while contributing to continuous improvement across the team.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity where you'll design, build, test and support Power Platform solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes. You'll apply your technical expertise to solve complex challenges, while using your communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders, build strong relationships and demonstrate the value our engineering work brings to the organisation.
You'll contribute to technical discussions and collaborate with colleagues across and beyond the Remediation CoE, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and adhere to established engineering standards. You'll take responsibility for the quality of your work, share learning with others, and support E1 engineers through constructive feedback, practical coaching and guidance on delivery, helping create an environment where the team can improve and innovate.
