Joining Weezevent means working on tangible solutions used at international festivals (Hellfest, Boomtown, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Boom), major sporting events (Formula 1, the Olympic Games, Euro fan zones), and high-volume live experiences.

Weezevent builds the technology behind live events: ticketing, cashless payment, CRM, staff solutions and access control. We are about 100 people in the tech team (engineering and product organisation), part of a group that has grown both organically and through acquisitions, so our teams span several countries and cultures.

We are at an inflection point. We are opening a focused 12–18 month window to invest heavily in the foundations of our main product, WeezTicket: paying down technical debt, tightening our architecture, and setting ourselves up for the next phase of growth. To run that program, we’re hiring an Engineering Delivery & Operations Manager (M/F, based in Clichy) to own its delivery.

This is a two-part role, and the first part is where you’ll spend most of your first year.

Part one : deliver the program. A board of our most experienced engineers is defining the architectural direction and producing a large backlog of clean-up and improvement work. That work will be delivered by several external squads brought in for the program. You own the delivery layer between them: getting squads stood up and productive on time, tracking each one’s pace and quality, and keeping the whole program on schedule.

  • Stand up and onboard external squads, around 20 developers across 5 to 6 squads, on time : access, environments, documentation, and a well-scoped first backlog ready before they start
  • Track the delivery pace of each squad against its commitments, and keep a clear program-level view of what’s on track, slipping, or blocked
  • Hold squads to the quality bar set by the architectural board : tests, reviews, and no new debt introduced while removing old debt
  • Manage cross-squad dependencies so work lands in the right order
  • Track program spend against budget and manage the relationships with the partners supplying the squads
  • Report program status to the CTO and the board on a regular cadence

Part two : become the operational backbone of engineering. As the program matures, you’ll take on the people-operations side of the organisation: helping our managers run great 1:1s and reviews, coordinating the performance cycle, keeping an eye on team capacity and wellbeing, and bringing rigour to tooling and budget. This is what makes the role a long-term home rather than a temporary program job.

You’ll work closely with the CTO, the architectural board, our 4 Team Leads, and the external partners supplying the squads. You won’t set the technical strategy or write the code, you’ll make sure the right work gets delivered, on time, at the right quality.

  • Help 4 Team Leads and 6 Squad Leads run consistent 1:1s and grow as managers
  • Coordinate the performance review cycle and make sure follow-up actions actually happen
  • Keep visibility on team capacity, absences, and early signals of overload or burnout
  • Bring structure to tech budget tracking and to the governance of our tools and licences
  • Support hiring and internal mobility alongside our recruitment team

Must-haves

  • Experience running a multi-squad delivery program end to end: ideally involving external agencies, consultancies, or contract teams
  • A track record of onboarding external teams onto an existing codebase and getting them productive quickly
  • Comfort owning a backlog, a schedule, and a budget across several parallel workstreams at once
  • The ability to track pace and quality per team and raise problems early, with data
  • Genuine tech literacy: you understand what developers do, can navigate a Jira board, and know what technical debt actually means
  • Fluent French and English

What makes you a strong long-term fit

  • Some experience coaching or supporting managers, or running a performance cycle in a tech company
  • A background that touched engineering, delivery, project management, or product before moving toward operations
  • Analytical rigour: you’re comfortable with numbers, dashboards, and cost reports
  • Direct, honest communication and real discretion with sensitive information

Nice to have

  • A third language (German or Dutch is a real plus given our footprint)
  • Experience working across France, the UK, the Netherlands, or Germany, and an understanding of how management styles differ across them

This is not

  • A role that sets architecture or writes code; that’s the board and the squads
  • A pure recruiter or a corporate-HR profile with no delivery or engineering exposure
  • A process-for-process’s-sake job. We want impact, not bureaucracy

The recruitment process

  • HR interview - background and soft skills
  • Interview with CTO - technical discussion

All our positions are open to people with disabilities.

Why it's a good move

You’ll run a high-visibility program with the direct backing of the CTO and the most senior engineers in the company, in an organisation that has decided to genuinely invest in its technical foundations rather than just talk about it. And when the program lands, you’ll have built yourself a permanent, central role at the heart of how our engineering organisation runs.
