Engineering Manager

Role Description This part-time Engineering Manager role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The Engineering Manager will oversee software engineering teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and prioritizing work, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, reviewing design and code, and supporting integration activities across systems and services. The role involves mentoring team members, facilitating effective communication, and removing blockers to maintain productivity and quality. The Engineering Manager will also collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices.

• Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide teams, set clear goals, and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment.
• Candidates should possess Software Development experience to provide technical direction, review implementation quality, and support architectural decisions.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and track progress across multiple initiatives while managing risks and dependencies.
• Candidates should possess Integration experience to oversee system interoperability, API integrations, and end-to-end solution delivery.
• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup in Dubai, with strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
• Experience with modern software development practices (e.g., Agile methodologies, CI/CD, code review) and familiarity with cloud-based environments is beneficial.
• Proven track record in mentoring engineers, driving process improvements, and maintaining high standards for quality and reliability.
