Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery Implement best practices for testing, architecture, and code quality to maintain system performance, security, and scalability. Optimize developer experience, tooling, and workflows Continuously improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools to maximize efficiency and reduce friction. Oversee project execution, meeting deadlines and business impact goals. Drive project planning, ensure timely delivery, and proactively address risks to keep teams aligned and focused on key objectives. Collaborate closely with ML, Product and Data. Bridge the gap between engineering and other disciplines, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on technical and business needs. 🤝 Your Skillset – What you bring to the table Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role you are required to have people management experience. Strong Hands-on mindset working daily with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing developer workflows Technical Background in backend engineering (Kotlin and mobile engineering is a plus) Experience building reliable, high-quality production systems with strong engineering practices Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and delivery processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and external partners Ability to drive technical strategy and align it with business and product goals A passion for mentoring , coaching, and developing talent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience in working with cross-functional departments , including Product, Data, CS, and GTM Experience delivering complex integrations and partnership-driven projects (healthcare experience is a plus) Strong track record in hiring and building high performing engineering teams Fluent in English (C1) and German is a plus (C1) to effectively engage with teams and partners 🌱 Growing together – what you can expect at voize Become a co-creator of our success with stock options Our office is in Berlin, and you are open for Hybrid working We provide flexible working hours because you know best when you work most efficiently!
