About the Role
We are seeking experienced Engineering Recruiter to join our team in Ireland, supporting recruitment for engineering and technical positions across the pharmaceutical, biomedical and medical device industries.
Previous professional recruitment experience within the pharmaceutical, biomedical or medical device industry is compulsory for this position. Candidates without relevant industry recruitment experience will not be considered.
The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and candidate engagement through to interviewing, offer management and onboarding. The role will involve close collaboration with hiring managers and business stakeholders in Ireland and the US, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different time zones.
This position is particularly suited to a recruiter who understands the technical engineering talent market within regulated industries and can confidently recruit highly specialised engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineering and technical positions within the pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors.
- Partner with hiring managers and US-based stakeholders to understand technical requirements, project needs and workforce plans.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for specialist engineering talent.
- Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, professional networks, industry databases and other recruitment channels.
- Recruit across specialist engineering disciplines including automation, controls, process, manufacturing, validation, CSV, CQV, commissioning and project engineering.
- Review technical CVs and assess candidates against both technical and industry-specific requirements.
- Conduct initial screening and competency-based interviews.
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified engineering professionals.
- Manage candidate communication throughout the recruitment process and provide a high-quality candidate experience.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers and US-based stakeholders.
- Manage offer processes, salary expectations, negotiations, references and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity within the ATS.
- Provide regular recruitment updates and reporting to hiring managers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide market intelligence relating to candidate availability, salary expectations, skills shortages and industry trends.
- Develop long-term relationships with engineering professionals and specialists talent communities.
- Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, employment legislation and applicable data protection requirements.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' professional recruitment experience.
- Previous recruitment experience within the pharmaceutical, biomedical or medical device industry is compulsory.
- Demonstrable experience recruiting engineering or technical professionals.
- Strong understanding of the talent market within regulated industries.
- Experience recruiting for specialist technical roles rather than exclusively generalist or high-volume positions.
- Ability to understand technical job descriptions and assess engineering CVs.
- Strong sourcing expertise, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques.
- Proven candidate screening and interviewing experience.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Experience using an ATS and maintaining accurate recruitment records.
- Willingness and ability to work Monday–Friday aligned with US business hours.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Ireland- and US-based teams.

Working Hours
The successful candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday during US East Coast business hours 5 hours behind from Ireland.
The role requires regular interaction with US-based hiring managers, candidates and business stakeholders, so flexibility and the ability to maintain effective communication across Ireland and US time zones are essential.
