We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team at MSX in Budapest. This role offers much more than traditional accounting responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, support business operations, and contribute to resolving financial queries and process-related challenges in an international environment.

What you'll be doing as a Financial Accountant:

Accounts Payable

• Process and review supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure all invoices are properly coded, approved, and compliant with company policies and procedures

Accounts Receivable

• Monitor and reconcile incoming payments and outstanding receivables
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and ensure timely issuance of invoices
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies while responding to customer invoice and payment queries

Bank Accounting

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate any variances
• Record and maintain bank transactions accurately within the accounting system
• Prepare and process payments in a timely manner
• Monitor cash flow movements and bank account activities

Reporting & Other Responsibilities

• Support monthly and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage advance payments, fixed assets, mobile phone accounting, intercompany transactions, and intra-group invoicing

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or reporting within an international environment, preferably in a mid-sized organization
• Solid experience in payroll accounting and taxation
• Strong written and spoken English skills; Czech or Polish language knowledge is an advantage
• Chartered Accountant qualification/registration is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards), accounts payable and receivable processes, and financial reporting
• Good understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS)
