Position Purpose: The Enterprise Applications Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and security of the company’s ERP, enterprise applications, and related systems. This position ensures system reliability, provides user support, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and support business goals. Key Responsibilities: Configure, update, and maintain enterprise applications, including ERP (Agility). Administer, secure, and optimize ERP and enterprise application environments to ensure system reliability. Provide user support, issue troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Document configurations, changes, and user access for audit readiness. Partner with acquisition and onboarding teams to ensure timely ERP setup. Review ERP and enterprise application release notes, identify potential impacts, and coordinate testing. Manage ERP and enterprise application security groups and evaluate implications of access changes. Generate reports and analytics to support operational decision-making. Direct Manager Direct Reports: Reports directly to the Enterprise Applications Administrator Supervisor. This position does not have direct reports. Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required. Max of 10% at peak times. The Enterprise Applications Administrator may be expected to undertake occasional travel, as necessary, to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage in professional development, and attend industry events, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational excellence. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally. The Enterprise Applications Administrator role primarily involves work within a standard office environment, where employees are expected to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of sitting, extensive use of computer equipment, and frequent communication with peers both in-person and through digital platforms. Candidates should be able to effectively use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and presentation tools. This position requires the ability to occasionally move about the office to access files, office machinery, or meet with other team members or stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years supporting integrated ERP systems such as Agility, Epicor, Infor, P21, or BisTrack. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the capability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Demonstrated experience in an Applications Administrator role or a comparable position. Extensive knowledge and understanding of enterprise-level applications and their functionalities. Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving within application environments. Superior documentation skills for creating comprehensive guides and procedural documents. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools. Background in the distribution industry. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Security and Compliance Awareness: Solid understanding of best practices in application security and compliance, ensuring that all enterprise applications adhere to relevant regulatory standards. Advanced Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing and integrating cloud-based solutions, particularly with platforms such as Smartsheet or equivalent project management tools, to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred Education: achelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field. Minimum Years Of Work Experience: 3+ years supporting enterprise applications or ERP systems. Certifications: None specified. Certifications Preferred: ERP and enterprise application administration proficiency. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaboration and communication across departments. Continuous improvement and attention to detail. Competencies: 1. Technical Aptitude Possessing a profound understanding of enterprise-level applications, configurations, and the latest technological trends to ensure optimal application performance and alignment with business objectives. 2. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Demonstrating proficiency in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving application-related issues efficiently, thereby reducing downtime and maintaining business continuity. 3. Communication Skills Exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills essential for effective interaction with cross-functional teams, users, and stakeholders, as well as for maintaining comprehensive documentation. 4. Collaboration Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to address complex issues, implement changes, and contribute to various projects and initiatives involving enterprise applications. 5. Organization and Documentation Maintaining organized, detailed, and up-to-date documentation of application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support efficient administrative processes and knowledge sharing. 6. Adaptability Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and changing business needs, swiftly implementing updates, patches, and enhancements to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of enterprise applications.
