Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for an Entertainment Banker at Your Script Produced!. The Entertainment Banker will work closely with producers, creators, and internal stakeholders to structure financing for film, television, and digital media projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating project proposals, performing financial analysis and risk assessment, and recommending appropriate funding structures and instruments. The role involves sourcing and managing relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other capital providers, as well as preparing pitch materials, term sheets, and deal documentation. The Entertainment Banker will also monitor funded projects, track performance against financial targets, and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for entertainment projects, including experience with cash flow modeling and ROI analysis.
- Ability to structure and negotiate financing deals (e.g., equity, debt, gap financing, pre-sales) and familiarity with entertainment industry deal terms.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with investors, lenders, and strategic partners, with effective stakeholder and client management skills.
- Knowledge of film and television production cycles, revenue streams (theatrical, streaming, licensing), and risk factors specific to entertainment finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear pitch decks, financial summaries, and presentations for non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
- Prior experience in entertainment banking, media finance, investment banking, or private equity/venture capital focused on creative industries is highly beneficial.
