Job Title: Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) Location: Based in Denver, Boise, or fully remote! Job Description We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for various projects, including commercial, retail, institutional, and tenant improvement projects. This role involves assisting with engineering calculations, system layouts, construction documents, project coordination, site surveys, and construction administration activities. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, owners, and project teams throughout all phases of design and construction. Responsibilities Support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of projects. Assist with engineering calculations and system layouts. Develop construction documents and coordinate projects. Conduct site surveys and participate in construction administration activities. Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and project teams during design and construction phases. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. FE/EIT certification is preferred. Experience with Revit or AutoCAD. Strong understanding of building codes and construction techniques. Ability to work in a collaborative design environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Exposure to HVAC and plumbing design. Knowledge of International Building Codes. Internship or co-op experience within the AEC industry. Work Environment The work environment includes a flexible schedule with a mix of onsite and remote work, depending on the candidate's location. The Denver office was recently revamped, providing a strong local presence with engineering leadership and BIM resources onsite. The schedule typically includes three days onsite and two days remote, with the first 60 days primarily onsite for training and team exposure. There is an opportunity to travel occasionally to Boise and Sacramento offices for training and collaboration with the team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
