About the role

Our Environmental Remediation Team is integrated into the Ecology (HSE) department in Rosignano and focuses on all environmental remediation activities (studies, investigations, O&M management and remediation projects) in collaboration with the Group’s Environmental Remediation Team - a skilled and agile network of remediation experts based primarily in Europe (France, Germany, and Belgium).

As an Environmental Remediation Expert is a key member of the HSE function and is present at all the Group's chemical sites. You will report to the site HSE Manager and you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all environmental obligations regarding our past and present operations. You will have access to the best available technologies to carry out remediation projects and have a positive sustainable environmental impact.

You will be accountable for/to:

  • Contribute to the management of environmental liabilities and regulatory compliance, while also improving the site's environmental footprint and enhancing our positive impact on environmental sustainability
  • Design and manage remediation projects for the Rosignano site
  • Develop remediation strategies; you will define and manage financial provisions
  • Identify and manage services provided by external consultants and contractors to conduct investigations, design solutions, and deliver the best possible remediation plans optimizing costs while ensuring full compliance with Italian laws and regulations.
  • Mobilize the technical expertise, insights and ability to propose innovative and efficient solutions
  • Collaborating with a large panel of other professionals such as HSE, Engineering experts, Purchasing, Financial, Legal and Public Affairs, including external counsels and Communication

We offer a permanent contract based on an on-site work.

About you

Relevant education degree in Engineering (environmental management, hydrogeology, environmental chemistry/biochemistry, or environmental remediation). Relevant work experience of at least 10 years of experience in the remediation of contaminated soil, water, or air, gained at an industrial company or environmental consultancy firm.

Competencies:

  • Native Italian speaker, fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing); proficiency in French is a plus
  • Knowledge in some of the following areas: HSE management, environment, geology, hydrology, soil chemistry, contaminated, site management, remediation and project management
  • Industrial finance and industrial contract management understanding, as well as the knowledge of Italian and European environmental regulations

About the pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role ranges from 47,360 EUR to 59,200 EUR.

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
