The cleanWATER Environmental Team is a leading provider of stormwater, wastewater, chemical hygiene and drinking water consulting services, as well as many other engineering and geological, environmental services to our clients throughout the State of Michigan. The position is expected to prepare reports and manuals for a range of project types that meet the needs of AEG clients and potential clients. This role requires a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, along with experience in managing UST systems and environmental remediation projects. Key Project Activities UST Class A Operator Underground storage tank compliance Underground storage tank system design and repair Proposal development Specification development State inspection support Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensuring that UST systems comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations Preparing detailed reports on findings, remediation efforts, and compliance status Coordinate the day-to-day operations and communicate areas of importance and priority of projects to meet deadlines and budgets Schedule planning to set priorities and track projects from start to finish Foster relationships with potential and existing clients Respond to emergencies Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old Must hold a valid driver’s license and safe driving record Must hold either a master’s degree in a science-related discipline with 3+ years of full-time work experience in the environmental or related field. - or - bachelor’s degree in science or engineer-related discipline with 5+ years of full-time work experience in the environmental or related field - or - High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with 7+ years of full-time work experience in the environmental or related field Must have working knowledge of and ability to apply environmental regulatory concepts to execute compliance programs, including the creation/updating of permit applications and associated documents Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily Word & Excel A willingness to occasionally modify personal schedules as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required to complete projects Ability to analyze policies to determine long-term benefits for and impacts on a UST Leak Prevention Prevention Ability to develop productive working relationships with Federal, State, and Local oversight agencies.
