Health & Safety Specialist – Pharmaceutical

Lead Group Ireland are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to support a pharmaceutical site in Munster on a 6-month contract. This is a client-side position, primarily remote, with occasional travel to the site required. The role will have a strong focus on HAZOP development and facilitation, working closely with the site, engineering and project teams to identify hazards, assess risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, develop and facilitate HAZOP studies for the pharmaceutical site
• Identify process, operational and health & safety hazards
• Lead and document HAZOP workshops and follow-up actions
• Support risk assessments and safety reviews
• Work closely with engineering, project and site teams
• Provide specialist Health & Safety input from a client-side perspective
• Review project and technical documentation to identify potential risks
• Ensure actions arising from HAZOPs and risk assessments are appropriately managed

Requirements:

• Proven Health & Safety experience within the pharmaceutical sector
• Hands-on experience creating and developing HAZOPs within a pharmaceutical environment – essential
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical processes and site operations
• Experience working with engineering and project teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a predominantly remote role
• Must be based in Ireland
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the pharmaceutical site in Munster
