Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Bridges Consultant to support a 3–4 months client engagement focused on Epic interface development, integration, connectivity, and SLA build/configuration.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic Bridges, interface connectivity, and system integrations, including HL7 messaging and API-based integrations. The resource should also have direct experience building, configuring, and supporting Service Level Agreement (SLA) functionality within the Epic environment.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring someone who can independently perform configuration, interface build, troubleshooting, testing, and integration activities. Candidates should have direct hands-on-keyboard experience rather than experience limited to project oversight or coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on Epic Bridges build, configuration, and integration activities.
- Build, configure, and support Epic interface connectivity with external systems and third-party applications.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces and messaging workflows.
- Support API-based integrations and connectivity between Epic and external systems.
- Perform SLA build and configuration activities within the Epic environment.
- Assess existing interface configurations and identify opportunities for enhancements and optimization.
- Troubleshoot interface failures, connectivity issues, message errors, and integration-related problems.
- Support interface testing, validation, and end-to-end integration testing.
- Collaborate with technical teams, application analysts, vendors, and operational stakeholders to support integration requirements.
- Document interface specifications, configuration changes, testing results, and technical workflows.
- Support issue resolution and stabilization of interfaces and integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Epic Bridges implementation, build, and configuration.
- Direct experience with Epic interface connectivity and integration.
- Strong working knowledge of HL7 messaging standards and interface development.
- Experience supporting API-based integrations and connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with SLA build and configuration.
- Experience troubleshooting interface errors, connectivity issues, and integration failures.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements into interface configurations and integration solutions.
- Experience performing interface testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Experience supporting complex Epic integration environments.
- Experience integrating Epic with external healthcare applications, vendors, and third-party systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and integration workflows.
- Experience supporting Epic implementation, optimization, or upgrade initiatives.
- Relevant Epic certification or proficiency, where applicable.
Engagement Expectations
The consultant will serve as a hands-on technical resource throughout the 3–4-month engagement, actively supporting Epic Bridges build, interface configuration, integration, and SLA-related activities.
Important: Candidates whose experience is primarily project management, interface oversight, or requirements gathering without direct Epic Bridges build and configuration experience will not be the ideal fit.
The priority is identifying a resource who has personally performed Epic Bridges build, HL7/API integration, interface connectivity, and SLA configuration and can contribute immediately to the client's technical needs.
